Salary
$35,566.00 for first year (2001 salary), increasing thereafter ~ $1200/year
Benefits
Medical Insurance: This policy is underwritten by American Heritage Life Insurance Company. This plan provides coverage for the employee, the spouse of an eligible employee (unless legally separated or divorced), unmarried children under age 19. Each insured individual is initially covered for a lifetime maximum amount of $5,000,000.
Life Insurance
Level Group Term Life Insurance underwritten by UNUM Life Insurance Company, provides $10,000 of life insurance and doubles to $20,000 in the event of Accidental Death for all covered employees.
Disability Insurance
Long Term Disability underwritten by Provident Life & Accident. Monthly benefit is equal to 60% of the first $3333 monthly salary to a maximum monthly benefit of $2,000 reduced by benefit offsets. The benefits as set forth under policy will begin after the insured's six-month total disability.
Professional Liability
The Florida Board of Regents (BOR), the State agency which operates UF, is vicariously responsible for any civil claims or actions arising from the acts of its employees and agents. The BOR is protected for such liabilities through the J. Hills Miller Health Center Self-Insurance Trust Fund (TF); a self-insurance program which is manages by the UF.
